My Setup

My setup is fairly simple using an IC706MKIIG which sits with the Navigator quite well

being more or less the same size.  I change software between MixW and Zakanaka, and

the shot below is taken from a session on 20m which was not in good shape I may add

and uses Zakanaka software. You will see I have macro keys setup to use under CAT

computer control for both my Icom, and an FT840 which I use as a standby. The Icom

modes are in blue and Yaesu ones in orange. I can change bands and modes directly

from the screen using the software and Navigators CAT facility. There are other macros

of course, and they can be configured for standard messages to save typing each time.

Better to actually show this because I believe pictures are better than words sometimes

and it shows a typical PSK31 application in use. The picture of the IC706 is not mine, but

Glenn W3GWW's IC706MKII. I used it because it is tidier than my shack, and it shows

exactly how I have mine setup :-).
